Ennore constitutes the northern most area of Chennai city. The
region is spread out like a peninsular landmass and is surrounded on
three sides by the sea water. Ennore is quite popular as it houses

in more than 50 countries of the world. The EID Parry Fertilizer
Company, located near the railway station is also a reputed
manufacturer in the region.
The northern part of the suburb, the one away from the peninsular
tip houses residential quarters. The Sivakami Nagar, Netaji Nagar
East and Netaji Nagar West, Gandhi Nagar and Nehru Nagar are some
popular residential areas in the locality.
