Teynampet is a small suburban region that lies towards the
south of the Chennai city. Teynampet region features a small
commercial centre in the south. The place is inhabited by the
residential population, mostly in the south eastern parts of the
locality. These small regions have developed into thriving colonies
like Veenus Colony and Beethamal Colony. The eastern regions are
however provided with quite a number of business enterprises. The
entire area, that is Teynampet locality, is surounded by yet other

north to south called Anna Salai and the other from east to west

this region.
