Chennai, former Madras, is one favorite tourist place in the
southern India. The city which forms the capital of the Tamil Nadu
state, houses great many attractions encompassing the beauty of the
nature in the form of rich flora and fauna, the architectural
masterpieces in the form of some great temples, te spiritual touch
in the form of pilgrim places and the ubiquitous commercial hub. The
city has been able to preserve the elements of the past, adorn the
portrait of the present and secure the certainty about the future.
The place is one lone destination that cannot be lost on the tourist
map of India.
In and around Chennai are present numerous tourist places which are
responsible for the flourishing tourism industry in the city. These
tourist places include popular temples, historical places, parks,
picnic spots, beaches, etc. To avail the opportunities for the

Day 01
On day first the tourists are received at their respective stations
and transferred to their respective rooms. In the evening a small
trip to George Town is occasionally organized. It is an overnights
stay.
Day 02
The second day starts with the briefing about the destinations to
be visited. Trips are organized to the famous monuments in the city.
The visiting places include Fort St.George, War Memorial, Anna MGR
Memorials, Parthasarathy Temple, Big Mosque, Amir Mahal, Bharathiyar
Illam, Santhome Basalica, Kapaleeswarar Temple. The evening trip to
the Marina Beach is like a dessert after good meals.
Day 03
The places to be visited on third day include Theosophical Society,
Adyar Library, Velankini Church, Ashta Lakshmi Temple, MGR Film
City, Tidel Park and Elliot's Beach. The late evening is free and is
accompanied usually by shopping at some popular stores.
Day 04
On the fourth day the crew heads for destinations like Guindy Park,
Periyar Science and Technology Centre, Birla Planetarium, Government
Museum, Raj Bhavan, Children Park, Snake Park, ISKCON Temple and
Vallur Kottam. With the end of the fourth day the trips are over. It
is an overnight stay and early in the morning, the next day, the
tourists are accompanied to their departure stations.
